    Description

This is a used sample of antique barbed wire fencing. This sample features an Edward M. Crandal patent dated April 19, 1881. This wire is called "Crandal's Twisted End T-Link Wire with Long Barbs", by collectors. (ref Hagemeier - 867-B VARIATION). Hagemeier does not show short and long barbing points variatoins.) This wire is made from a succession of wire links. Ends of links are twisted together, and ends bent out into a "T" shape and cut to form points. This sample is made from four complete un-cut links and is a total of 19-3/4" in length and has four barbs. Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. Wire shows some age wear, with light to moderate pitting.. There are no broken or repaired barbs. Wire is in good used condition. There are no off odors. I have listed other wires, both as auction and fixed price listings. We will gladly combine multiple purchases for shipping, when paid on the same invoice ... using the buy it now option. First wire ships for .50; additional wires are fifty cents each extra. Twelve or more wire ship for free.
